This July, The Hambidge Center for Creative Arts & Sciences Inc. hosts the 11th annual Hambidge Summer Festival and Georgia Pottery Show. This year's event chairs are Atlanta residents Dorothy Kirkley and Deb Sudbury.
All ages will enjoy this all-day event that includes live music and entertainment like poetry readings and storytelling. Kilnmasters Rick Berman and Tom Egan will help guests make memories at the U-Do-Raku pottery station. Guests of all ages can select pottery pieces, glaze them and have them fired onsite. U-Do-Raku means you do the fun part and raku volunteers get to work the magic. The onsite Georgia Pottery Show offers a glimpse of what some of the pros are up to. Wash it all down with some delicious barbeque and wine tastings
