Join photographer Bill "Hawk" Reeves & CH2MHill geologists for a fantastic day of hiking, photography and natural history. Rocktown, not to be confused with Rock City, is a maze of oddly shaped, sandstone-conglomerate boulders scattered throughout a plateau-like area, covering approximately 140 acres atop Pigeon Mountain. The land is managed primarily for wildlife and the protection and enhancement of the mountain's many natural features. This is a moderate hike. We will caravan from CNC to the hike location.
