The Summer Shade Festival, held each year in Atlanta's oldest public park, welcomes attendees to a full weekend of fun. In 2009, the Seventh Annual Summer Shade Festival will include a variety of live music performances, a juried Artist Show and Market and delicious food from local restaurants. The Children's Area is a family favorite with storytellers, jugglers, sing-a-longs and kid-sized craft projects. Free festival admission.
There is also the Corks & Forks: A Fine Food & Wine Event and the 7th Annual Adams Realtors 5K Run in conjunction with the event.
The Corks & Forks: A Fine Food & Wine Event has become a beloved part of the Summer Shade Festival. Guests at Corks & Forks will be delighted by the signature dishes from some of Atlanta's Top Restaurants along with wine pairings from around the world. Tickets for Corks & Forks are $35 adv/$45 door. There is also the 7th Annual Adams Realtors 5K Run for the Park on Saturday - register in advance online or the day of the race.
