The Conga Kings, a 9-piece Rumba group featuring three of the master conga drummers of Afro-Cuban music, bring their spontaneous celebration of modern rhythm and melody to the Rialto stage. They present a joyous colloquium of Jazz and Afro-Cuban sounds by the likes of Machito, Dizzy Gillespie, and Tito Puente. Candido Camero, the Havana born 80-year old statesman of conga; rhythmic genius Giovanni Hidalgo from Puerto Rico; Francisco Aguabella, the "John Coltrane of the conga drums" (per Dizzy Gillespie) - all led by four-time Grammy Award winner and Acadamy Award winner Ray Santos, will close out the season at the Rialto. Historically, musically, and conceptually, this rhythmic dream team is creating the conga drum experience of a lifetime.
