Park Pride's 7th Annual Parks & Greenspace Conference will be held at the Atlanta Botanical Garden on March 31 from 8am-5pm. "A Vision of Sustainability" is the theme of this year's event. Galen Cranz, professor of Architecture at University of California, Berkeley, will give the Keynote Speech on "Parks & Sustainability." Dr. Howie Frumkin, one of the world's leading experts on Parks and Public Health, will provide insight into how parks improve our lives in "Parks, Health, & Sustainability." In addition, the "Parks & Sustainable Cities" session will feature a panel of national, state, and local leaders discussing how parks are necessary to creating vibrant, sustainable cities. Other session topics include: "Funding Parks for the Long Term," "Raising Money for Your Park," "The Media – Partners in Sustainability," "Parks & Cars – Creative Solutions," and "Georgia's Action Plan for Parks and Sustainability." Conference attendees are invited to a Green Cocktail Reception from 5-7pm.
