Belk's Charity Sale

Sat, Nov 07 - Belk's Charity Sale will benefit local charities, schools and nonprofit organizations. For a $5 donation, customers are entitled to merchandise discounts ranging from an extra 15 to 50 percent. Beginning October 30th, tickets can be purchased at Belk stores. Tickets can also be purchased the day of the Charity Sale. Donations will be equally divided among the participating charities and schools.

CVS/pharmacy Strong Legs Run

Sat, Nov 14 - Now in its 25th year, the CVS/pharmacy Strong Legs Run is one of Atlanta's largest road races and includes a 10K qualifier for the 2010 Peachtree Road Race. More than 5,000 runners are expected to participate in the event's 10K, 5K, 2K family fun run, mascot trot and 75-yard dash for children with physical and developmental disabilities. All proceeds benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
